Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.4206), regulation envisaging a temporary special-purpose 13-per-cent surcharge to the import duty imposed on certain goods is excluded from the effective Law.
According to the Committee members, the necessity of adopting the Bill is conditioned by the analysis of major macroeconomic indices of import in Ukraine for the last six months, which testifies of the considerable decrease of import of goods and services. Thus, in September 2008, the scope of import made up 7,647 billion USD, and in December - 4,777 billion UAH.
